M1 Minot State University rips M1 Colorado State University, 5-1

The M1 Colorado State University Rams had trouble finding ways to stop the M1 Minot State University Beavers, which beat Rams, 5-1.

Jeremy Johnson was all over the ice for M1 Minot State University, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Johnson scored 6:08 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Minot State University. Dylan Gejdos assisted on the tally.

The Beavers' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. M1 Minot State University had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Beavers stifled M1 Colorado State University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M1 Minot State University forced the Rams goalie Michael Porter to work between the pipes, taking 62 shots. The defensemen of the Beavers were also effective in M1 Colorado State University's zone, and came away with three goals.

M1 Minot State University also got points from Kyle Lipinski, who also finished with one goal and one assist. M1 Minot State University also had goals scored by Morgen Martelle, Bryce Lipinski, and Eric Bollefer, who scored one goal each.
