The M1 Liberty University Flames' Kyle Garcia had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing two assists in his team's 8-4 win over the M1 Oakland University Golden Grizzlies.

Garcia's first goal came 3:19 into the second period. He then added goals at 5:17 into the second, at 39 seconds into the third, and at 19:50 into the third.

M1 Liberty University bested its season scoring average. This season, the Flames average 3.7 goals per contest. M1 Liberty University put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 14.2 it averages per game.

M1 Liberty University also got points from Grant Garvin, who also registered three goals and three assists and Robert Ward, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, M1 Liberty University received assists from Zechariah Roberts, who had four and Ben Hughes, Kyle Crane, Zachary Hayes, Peter Shantz, and Zane Schartz, who contributed one each.

M1 Oakland University forced the Flames goalie Cary Byron to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Golden Grizzlies could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Oakland University was led by Ryan Rotondi, who had two goals and one assist. Rotondi scored the first of his two goals at 11:13 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Liberty University. Conor Durgan assisted on the tally. Rotondi's next tally made the score 4-2 M1 Liberty University with 6:20 left in the second period. Kyle Nelson picked up the assist. Others who scored for M1 Oakland University included Frank Saputo and Ian Jacobs, who each put in one.
