M1 Liberty University was sparked by Harris, who racked up one goal. Harris scored on the power play 6:15 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M1 Liberty University. The Flames had gained a power play chance when Felipe Rodriguez was whistled for slashing. Grant Garvin picked up the assist.

The defensemen of M1 Liberty University were also effective in M2 Virginia Tech University's zone, and came away with two goals. The Flames put 42 shots on net during the contest, more than the 14.5 they average per game.
