Hall found the back of the net 2:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Stony Brook University and again while 16:16 into the first to make the score 4-2 M1 Stony Brook University.Penalties took their toll on M1 Stony Brook University, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. With 43 shots on target during the contest, the Seawolves exceeded the 6.1 shots they average per game this year. M1 Stony Brook University also got points from Tyler Underhill, who also had two goals and one assist. M1 Stony Brook University also had goals scored by Eddie Osowski and John Defeo, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Stony Brook University were Justin Lazalde, who had two and Frank Sherding and Alex Miller, who contributed one each. The 25 shots that M1 Liberty University put on net surpassed the Flames' average of 16.0 shots per game this season. M1 Liberty University was helped by Raymond Wilson, who grabbed one goal. Wilson scored on the power play 8:08 into the first period to make the score 3-2 M1 Stony Brook University. The Flames had taken the advantage when M1 Stony Brook University's Hall got sent off for hooking. Michael Thomas picked up the assist. Derek Willms made 22 saves for the Seawolves on 25 shots. M1 Stony Brook University incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Matthew Pinel took the loss and made 22 saves before being replaced by Cary Byron who made 15 saves. M1 Liberty University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
