A stellar performance between the pipes by Aaron Alkema helped the M1 Ohio University Bobcats defeat the M1 Liberty University Flames, 4-1.

M1 Ohio University's penalty kill excelled, as the Bobcats gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

M1 Ohio University was led by Gabe Lampron, who grabbed one goal. Lampron scored 14:23 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M1 Ohio University. Tommy Pokorney provided the assist.

The Bobcats stifled M1 Liberty University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M1 Ohio University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 8.5 shots per game it averages.

M1 Ohio University also had goals scored by Grant Hazel, Derek Rahme, and Patrick Spellacy, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Ohio University came via Michael Harris, Joey Breslin, Reilly Moore, and Matt Wipper, who contributed one each.

The Flames kept the Bobcats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alkema made 34 saves on 35 shots.

M1 Liberty University was led by Bram Erickson, who scored the team's only goal. Erickson scored 19:59 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Danny Logan assisted on the tally.
