M1 Liberty University survives M1 Non-ACHA Team comeback, wins 5-3Prince William Ice Center Fri, Sep 18, 2015 The M1 Liberty University Flames, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by M1 Non-ACHA Team and clinched a 5-3 victory. M1 Liberty University led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Flames' Michael Bunn scored at 16:20 in the second period to put M1 Liberty University up 4-1. Paul Lamoureux had a great game for the Flames, netting two goals. Lamoureux's tallies came at 1:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Liberty University and 18:24 into the third to make the score 5-3 M1 Liberty University. M1 Liberty University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes. The Flames put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M1 Non-ACHA Team to score on any of its seven power plays. M1 Liberty University forced M1 Non-ACHA Team goalie Number Thirty to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. M1 Liberty University additionally got points from Danny Logan, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jeff Wilson also scored for M1 Liberty University. More assists for M1 Liberty University came via Steven Bellew, Bram Erickson, Grant Garvin, Kyle Miller, Zane Schartz, Robert Ward, and Raymond Wilson, who contributed one each. M1 Non-ACHA Team forced the Flames' netminders to work all game long, launching 33 shots and forcing 30 saves. Cary Byron made 16 stops and Joshua Halpenny made 14. M1 Non-ACHA Team was helped by Number Sixty-Six, who racked up one goal. Sixty-Six scored 12:59 into the third period to make the score 4-2 M1 Liberty University. M1 Non-ACHA Team also got points from Number Fourty-Seven, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Non-ACHA Team also got a goal from Number Fourty as well. In addition, M1 Non-ACHA Team received assists from Number Ninety-Five, who had one. M1 Liberty University registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Thirty recorded 27 saves for M1 Non-ACHA Team. M1 Non-ACHA Team incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
