M3-Hope College survives M3-Aquinas College comeback, wins 4-3

M3-Aquinas College tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but M3-Hope College held on for a 4-3 victory.

M3-Hope College made the score 4-1 on a goal by Caleb Wortz at 13:16 in the second period, and M3-Aquinas College got as close as 4-3 when Matt Krzykwa scored 2:25 into the third period.

M3-Hope College was led by Brandon Flood, who tallied one goal and one assist. Flood scored short handed 35 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Hope College. M3-Hope College was on a disadvantage when Peter Stewart went off the ice for high sticking. Joe Pappas picked up the assist.

M3-Hope College racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 12.0 minutes per game M3-Hope College had been spending in the box. M3-Hope College put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.3 it averages per game.
