Early goals doom M1 Towson University, falls to M1 Villanova University, 11-1

The M1 Towson University Tigers fell behind early, and the M1 Villanova University Wildcats kept piling on the points on the way to an 11-1 victory.

Troy Donahue had a great game for M1 Villanova University, netting five goals. Donahue got on the scoresheet 9:14 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:40 into the first, at 13:52 into the first, at 19:51 into the first, and at 2:56 into the second.

M1 Towson University was stymied by the Wildcats' netminder Nathaniel Brose, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. Brose managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.47 prior to the game.

M1 Villanova University bested its season scoring average. The Wildcats have scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of M1 Villanova University were also effective in the Tigers' zone, and came away with three goals. The Wildcats put 53 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.4 they average per game.
