LaPointe nets hat trick, leads M1 Syracuse University to 7-4 win over M1 Villanova University

John Ross LaPointe netted a hat trick to lead the M1 Syracuse University Orange over the M1 Villanova University Wildcats, 7-4.

LaPointe notched his first tally 12:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:55 into the second and at 18:03 into the second.

M1 Syracuse University kept M1 Villanova University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nicholas Desimone made 38 saves on 45 shots. The Orange surpassed their usual scoring output this season. M1 Syracuse University has scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign.
