Michael Lozano scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the M1 Lindenwood University Lions picked up the extra point in a 3-2 win over the M1 Iowa State University Cyclones.

The shootout featured five attempts between both teams. M1 Iowa State University got a shootout goal from Tony Uglem. M1 Lindenwood University also got a shootout goal from Kevin Walters.

The Lions came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. M1 Lindenwood University fell behind 2-1 after a goal by the Cyclones' Nicholas Sandy at 15:18 in the third period. The Lions knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Stephen Bopp at 19:48 in the third period.

M1 Lindenwood University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M1 Iowa State University to score on any of its four power plays. The 45 shots that the Lions put on net surpassed M1 Lindenwood University's average of 0.2 shots per game this season.

M1 Lindenwood University also got points from Walters, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
