M1 Iowa State University holds on for 2-1 win against M1 Lindenwood University

The M1 Lindenwood University Lions tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the M1 Iowa State University Cyclones held on for a 2-1 victory.

A goal by Adam Alcott put M1 Iowa State University up 2-0 in the second period, but M1 Lindenwood University pulled to within one on Stephen Bopp's tally 18:34 into the third period.

The Cyclones were led by goalie Derek Moser, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Moser will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.72.

M1 Iowa State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Cyclones' offense operated below their season average. M1 Iowa State University averages 4.4 goals per game. The 16 shots that the Cyclones put on net surpassed M1 Iowa State University's average of 0.9 shots per game this season.

M1 Iowa State University also got a goal from Colton Kramer as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Iowa State University were Tony Uglem, who had one.
