M1 Syracuse University survives M1 Rhode Island ^ University of comeback, wins 3-2

The M1 Rhode Island ^ University of Rams tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the M1 Syracuse University Orange held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by John Ross LaPointe put M1 Syracuse University up 3-1 in the third period, but M1 Rhode Island ^ University of pulled to within one on Robbie Buehrer's tally 18:21 into the third period.

The Orange managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. M1 Syracuse University finished below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game.

In addition, M1 Syracuse University received assists from Thomas DiPasquale, Robert VanRaamsdonk, and Nolan Metzler, who each chipped in one.

The Rams' offense rang up 31 shots on the Orange's net.

Evan Rankin also scored for M1 Rhode Island ^ University of. More assists for M1 Rhode Island ^ University of came via Nick Amarone and Mark Matson, who contributed one each.
