Stratford falls to London after surprising comeback

The Stratford Cullitons could not hold down the London Nationals, and Nationals erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 4-3 win.

London never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Nationals trailed 3-1 after a short handed goal by Stratford's Josh Higgins at 11:08 in the second period. London knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by John Warren at 2:21 in the third period. The Nationals netted the game winner at 11:40 in the third period on a goal by Warren.

London was sparked by Brandon Glover, who racked up one goal.

The Nationals stifled the Cullitons' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

London also got points from Warren, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Max Vinogradov, who also had one goal and one assist. London also got a goal from Rai Di Loreto as well. More assists for London came via Sam Harris, who had two and Kevin Madden, Scott Goodman, Matt Bean, and Trevor Dulong, who each chipped in one.

Stratford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow London to score on any of its five power plays. The Nationals were unable to stop the Cullitons from sending pucks towards the net, and Stratford eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

The Cullitons were led by Tyson Baker, who registered one goal and one assist. Baker scored 3:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stratford. Jared Nash provided the assist. Cooper Stahl also scored for Stratford. In addition, Stratford received assists from Quinton Haddock and Hayden Broomhead, who contributed one each.

London's Connor Hughes stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Nationals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Nick Redman rejected 23 shots on goal for Stratford. The Cullitons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
