M1 Towson University beats M1 Rhode Island ^ University of 3-2 after comeback scare

The M1 Rhode Island ^ University of Rams tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the M1 Towson University Tigers held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Nicholas Vonakis put M1 Towson University up 3-1 in the third period, but M1 Rhode Island ^ University of pulled to within one on Matthew DaSilva's tally 18:55 into the third period.

The Tigers were led by Vonakis, who registered one goal. Vonakis scored six seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Towson University.

M1 Towson University did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 10 saves. The Tigers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Towson University also got points from Matt Stella, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Towson University also got a goal from Michael Darosa as well. In addition, M1 Towson University received assists from Chris Szoka, who had one.

The Rams' offense rang up 39 shots on M1 Towson University's net. M1 Rhode Island ^ University of's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Rams finished with 16 penalty minutes. M1 Rhode Island ^ University of was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of 10 man advantages.

The Rams were helped by Ray Boudiette, who grabbed one goal. Boudiette scored on the power play 2:25 into the second period to make the score 1-1. M1 Rhode Island ^ University of had gained a power play chance when Nicholas Bickerstaff was whistled for too many men. William Damore provided the assist. More assists for M1 Rhode Island ^ University of came via Nick Amarone, who had one.

Tyler Stewardson recorded 37 saves for the Tigers. M1 Towson University registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Caleb Neal made 10 saves for the Rams on 13 shots.
