M1 Lebanon Valley College holds on for 5-4 win against M1 Rhode Island ^ University of

The M1 Rhode Island ^ University of Rams tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

M1 Lebanon Valley College made the score 5-3 on a goal by Bryan Hovanec at 8:17 in the third period, and M1 Rhode Island ^ University of got as close as 5-4 when Brian Gara scored 19:41 into the third period.

Jacob Thomas was all over the ice for the Flying Dutchmen, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Thomas scored the first of his two goals at 4:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Lebanon Valley College. Thomas' next tally made the score 3-1 M1 Lebanon Valley College with 13:18 left in the first period. Travis Acker picked up the assist.

M1 Lebanon Valley College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M1 Rhode Island ^ University of power plays. The Flying Dutchmen put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 17.4 they average per game.

M1 Lebanon Valley College also had goals scored by Russell Armbruster and Andy Thurby, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Lebanon Valley College received assists from Zack McKown and Michael Straub, who contributed one each.

Others who scored for M1 Rhode Island ^ University of included Michael Pesola, Robbie Buehrer, and James Blute, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Rhode Island ^ University of came via Ray Boudiette, who had two and Mark Luciano, Nunzio Morretti, and Nick Amarone, who each chipped in one.

M1 Lebanon Valley College's Brenden Manquen stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Flying Dutchmen incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Keith Inman recorded 22 saves for the Rams. M1 Rhode Island ^ University of incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
