M1 Temple University erases deficit to stun M1 Canisius College, 6-5

M1 Temple University climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat the M1 Canisius College Golden Griffins, 6-5.

M1 Temple University let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a three hole to pick up the win. M1 Temple University took a 1-0 advantage on a power play goal by Joey Powell at five seconds in the first period. M1 Temple University went down 5-2 after M1 Canisius College's Andrew Ferrentino put the puck home at 3:02 in the third period. After knotting things up at 5-5 on a goal by Dan Nucero at 8:42 in the third, M1 Temple University got the game-winner from Patrick Hanrahan at 18:01 in the third period.

Nucero was all over the ice for M1 Temple University, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Nucero scored the first of his two goals at 5:01 into the third period to make the score 5-4 M1 Canisius College. Matthew Krulikowski provided the assist. Nucero's next tally made the score 5-5 with 11:18 left in the third period.

M1 Temple University forced Golden Griffins' goaltenders to work in net, firing 41 shots and forcing 35 saves. Bret Gilmour made 27 stops and Alvin Dow made eight.
