M1 Temple University vanquishes M1 Drexel University in shootout, 4-3 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as M1 Temple University defeated the M1 Drexel University Dragons in a shootout 4-3 (2-0 SO).

The shootout featured four attempts between both teams. M1 Temple University also got a shootout goal from Joey Powell.

M1 Temple University was helped by James Milanesi, who grabbed one goal. Milanesi scored 3:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 M1 Temple University. Matthew Krulikowski provided the assist. M1 Temple University additionally got points from Powell, who also racked up one goal and one assist. M1 Temple University also got a goal from John Kumpf as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Temple University were Phillip Vassilev and Stephen Kennedy, who contributed one each.

M1 Drexel University kept M1 Temple University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Hayden Richards made 49 saves on 52 shots.

The Dragons were helped by Christopher Hagen, who had one goal. Hagen scored 11:48 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Temple University. John Quigley picked up the assist. Others who scored for M1 Drexel University included Christopher Carroll and Christopher Rodrigue, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Drexel University received assists from Mike Churchvara, who had one and Ryan Williams, who had two.

M1 Temple University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. M1 Drexel University's Zachary Kantner stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Dragons finished the contest with no penalties and went 2-for-0 with the man advantage.
