The Guelph Hurricanes and the Kitchener Dutchmen skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Even though Kitchener's Jason Willms netted two goals and Connor Cole contributed one point, the Dutchmen was held to a tie by Guelph,.

The Hurricanes' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Kitchener power plays. Kitchener was unable to stop Guelph from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hurricanes eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Guelph was led by Cameron Stokes, who racked up two goals and one assist. Stokes scored the first of his two goals at 7:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Guelph. Sean Power picked up the assist. Stokes' next tally made the score 4-3 Kitchener with nine seconds left in the second period. Guelph additionally got points from Chris Poletek, who also registered one goal and one assist. Guelph also had goals scored by Jake Wyse and Corson Searles, who each put in one. In addition, Guelph received assists from Dylan Wallace, who had two and Nicholas Bird, Tyler Burns, and Brody Milne, who contributed one each.

The Dutchmen forced the Hurricanes goalie Christian Propp to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Logan Schmidt also scored for Kitchener. More assists for Kitchener came via Matthew Cruickshank and Adam Kawalec, who each chipped in one and Michael Alberga, Austin Gaboury, and Nathan Grossi, who contributed two each.

Propp rejected 35 shots on goal for Guelph. The Hurricanes incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Cossimo Lazzarino recorded 37 saves for Kitchener. The Dutchmen incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
