Lambton Shores wins tough contest against St. Marys, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Lambton Shores Predators escaped with a 4-3 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Lambton Shores gained the winning advantage on a goal by Andrew Kim 12:24 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Kim was all over the ice for the Predators, as he grabbed two goals in the win.

Lambton Shores' offense rang up 41 shots on St. Marys' net. The Predators cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances.

Lambton Shores additionally got points from Ethan Sarfati, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Franco Sproviero, who had three and Calvin Hughson, Connor Merritt, and Gino Mini, who each chipped in one.

The Lincolns forced Lambton Shores goalie Anthony Hurtubise to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

St. Marys was led by Graham Brulotte, who registered two goals and one assist. Brulotte scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Marys. The Lincolns had gotten the advantage when the Predators' Merritt was sent off for slashing. Nolan King assisted on the tally. Brulotte's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 7:47 left in the third period. Tom McHenry picked up the assist. St. Marys also got points from King, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for St. Marys came via Ryan Martin, who had one and Nathan Smith, who had two.

Hurtubise recorded 37 saves for Lambton Shores. The Predators incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Emanuel Vella rejected 37 shots on goal for St. Marys. The Lincolns incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
