St. Marys beats Lambton Shores 5-4 as House gets hat trick

Brent House netted a hat trick to lead the St. Marys Lincolns over the Lambton Shores Predators, 5-4.

House got on the scoresheet 3:04 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:40 into the second and at 6:17 into the third.

St. Marys surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Lincolns average 2.7 goals per contest. St. Marys capitalized on Lambton Shores' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage.

St. Marys additionally got points from Nolan King, who also grabbed one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. Graham Brulotte also scored for St. Marys. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Ryan Martin, who had two and Matt Granger, Trent Dundas, and Nathan Smith, who contributed one each.

The Predators were led by Andrew Kim, who finished with two goals and two assists. Kim scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 4:25 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Marys. Lambton Shores had taken the advantage when the Lincolns' Colin Capstick got sent off for roughing. Franco Sproviero picked up the assist. Kim's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 14:28 left in the second period. Sproviero provided the assist. Lambton Shores also got points from Matthew Philip, who also had one goal and one assist. Lambton Shores also got a goal from Ethan Sarfati as well.

St. Marys' Emanuel Vella stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Lincolns incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Anthony Hurtubise rejected 25 shots on goal for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
