Huber's big game bests Stratford in 6-3 Listowel win

The Listowel Cyclones' Jamie Huber had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Stratford Cullitons.

Huber scored on the power play at 6:06 into the second period to make the score 5-0 Listowel and again while on the power play 17:31 into the second to make the score 6-2 Listowel.

Listowel forced Cullitons' goaltenders to work without much rest, finishing with 34 shots and forcing 28 saves. Alexander Brooks-Potts made 16 stops and Carson Poulin made 12. The Cyclones surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Listowel has scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Listowel additionally got points from Keaton Willis, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Listowel included Jordan Caskenette, Chayse Herrfort, and Ben Shelley, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Listowel were Kade Landry, who had two and Blake Pickering, Brady Anderson, Ray McFalls, Blake Nichol, and Tim Nauta, who each chipped in one.

Stratford found itself short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays.

Stratford also had goals scored by Deven Kropf, Drew Gross, and Tyson Baker, who each put in one. In addition, Stratford received assists from Anthony Kotsovos, Jared Nash, Jack Scanlan, Hayden Broomhead, Zach Van Louwe, and Josh Miller, who contributed one each.

Tyler Fassl took the win and made 23 saves before being replaced by Lukas Pfeil who made zero saves. The Cyclones incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Cullitons registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
