The Lambton Shores Predators tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the St. Marys Lincolns held on for a 5-4 victory. St. Marys took a 5-3 lead during the third period, only to have Lambton Shores storm back on a Christian Babineau goal 10:13 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Jeff Schrattner had a great game for the Lincolns, netting two goals. St. Marys stifled the Predators' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lambton Shores was unable to stop the Lincolns from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Marys eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Lincolns found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, St. Marys averages 2.8 goals per contest. St. Marys also got points from Trent Dundas, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for St. Marys included Tristan Gallant and Brent House, who each put in one. In addition, St. Marys received assists from Ryan Martin, who had two, Nathan Smith, who had three, and Nolan King, Emanuel Vella, Graham Brulotte, and Josh Zlatinszky, who each chipped in one. The Predators' offense rang up 48 shots on the Lincolns' net. Lambton Shores was led by C.J. Kusch, who racked up one goal and one assist. Kusch scored 18:23 into the second period to make the score 4-3 St. Marys. Ethan Sarfati provided the assist. Lambton Shores also had goals scored by Matthew Philip and Brenden Trottier, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Andrew Kim, who had three. Vella recorded 44 saves for St. Marys. The Lincolns incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Predators' Anthony Hurtubise stopped 28 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Lambton Shores incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
