London rips St. Marys, 6-1

The London Nationals had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the St. Marys Lincolns.

London's Noah Hedrick was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Hedrick will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

The Nationals got the win thanks to a great game by John Warren, who had two goals and one assist. Warren scored the first of his two goals at 51 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 London. Austin Kemp assisted on the tally. Warren's next tally made the score 4-1 London with 1:54 left in the second period. John Adams picked up the assist.

London kept St. Marys' goalie busy throughout the game, and Paul Town made 34 saves on 40 shots.

London additionally got points from Jaden Cramer, who also finished with two goals and one assist. London also had goals scored by Eric Guest and Alex Cimino, who each put in one. In addition, London received assists from Scott Dorion, Rai Di Loreto, and Colin Wilson, who contributed one each and Callum Ruddock and Sam Harris, who each chipped in two.

The Lincolns were led by Trent Dundas, who scored the team's only goal. Dundas scored 9:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Marys. Liam Melady assisted on the tally.

The Nationals ended with no penalties and went 0-for-1 on the power play. St. Marys finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage.
