The Sarnia Legionnaires and the St. Marys Lincolns were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Sarnia made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4.

The Legionnaires gained the winning advantage on a goal by Brock Perry 1:52 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Perry had two goals and one assist to lead Sarnia.

The Legionnaires' penalty kill excelled, as Sarnia gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

The Legionnaires stifled St. Marys' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Sarnia's goal total was higher than its season average. The Legionnaires average 3.1 goals per game.

Sarnia also got points from Brandon Layman, who also registered two goals and one assist. Sarnia also had goals scored by Jordan Fogarty and Joey Zappa, who each put in one.
