Listowel downs Cambridge in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Keaton Willis gave the Listowel Cyclones a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Cambridge Winter Hawks when he scored 3:36 into the extra period.

Listowel was led by Willis, who registered one goal.

The Cyclones forced Cambridge goalie Owen Savory to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.

Listowel also had goals scored by Blake Pickering and Ben Shelley, who scored one goal each. More assists for Listowel came via Jakob Lee, Kade Landry, Max Coyle, Jordan Caskenette, Chayse Herrfort, and Jamie Huber, who each chipped in one.

The Winter Hawks kept Listowel's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Fassl made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Cambridge was helped by Rob Grant, who tallied one goal. Grant scored on the power play 7:33 into the third period to make the score 2-2. The Winter Hawks had gotten the advantage when the Cyclones' Blake Nichol was sent off for charging. Kalob Witzell picked up the assist. Cambridge additionally got points from Matt Harding, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Cambridge received assists from Drew Stirling and Brandon Stapley, who contributed one each.

Listowel incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Owen Savory made 44 saves for Cambridge on 47 shots. The Winter Hawks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cambridge ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Stirling was ejected from the game.
