London downs Chatham, 7-2

Kevin Madden grabbed two points to lead the London Nationals to a 7-2 victory over the Chatham Maroons.

In the losing effort, Chatham was paced by Steven Beenackers, who registered two goals. Beenackers scored the first of his two goals at 15:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chatham. Ian Faubert assisted on the tally. Beenackers' next tally made the score 2-1 Chatham with 35 seconds left in the first period. Mark Fratarcangelli picked up the assist.

London's offense rang up 38 shots on the Maroons' net. The Nationals bested their season scoring average. London averages 4.0 goals per game.

London also got points from Rai Di Loreto, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matt Doty, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for London included Austin Kemp, who had two and Scott Dorion and Matt Bean, who each put in one. In addition, London received assists from Scott Goodman, Sam Harris, Trevor Dulong, and Colin Wilson, who each chipped in one and Tanner Ferreira, Kyle Robinson, and John Warren, who contributed two each.

Chatham was held below its usual level of production. The Maroons put an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. The Nationals were unable to stop Chatham from sending pucks towards the net, and the Maroons eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Other players who recorded assists for Chatham were Logan Percy, who had one.

Connor Hughes rejected 38 shots on goal for London. The Nationals avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. Parker Butler made 31 saves for Chatham on 38 shots. The Maroons finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage.
