Leamington downs St. Marys, 2-1

Joe Urbanic tallied one point to lead the Leamington Flyers to a 2-1 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Leamington stifled St. Marys' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Flyers were held below their usual level of production. Leamington puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. The Flyers forced the Lincolns goalie Paul Town to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

Leamington additionally got points from Scott Emerson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Leamington received assists from Mitchell Amante, who had two.

St. Marys managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Lincolns wound up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game.

St. Marys was led by Tom McHenry, who scored the team's only goal. McHenry scored 5:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Marys. Jeff Schrattner picked up the assist.
