Perry's hat trick boosts Sarnia over Lambton Shores, 5-3

Brock Perry netted a hat trick to lead the Sarnia Legionnaires over the Lambton Shores Predators, 5-3.

Perry got on the scoresheet 8:32 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:57 into the third and at 19:39 into the third.

Sarnia forced Lambton Shores goalie Tyler Caruana to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. The Legionnaires found themselves short handed often, totaling 30 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays.

Sarnia also got points from Ryan Vendramin, who also had one goal and two assists. Sarnia also got a goal from Brandon Layman as well. In addition, Sarnia received assists from Jacob Stos, who had one and Jordan Fogarty and Brad Yowart, who contributed two each.

Sarnia was unable to stop the Predators from sending pucks towards the net, and Lambton Shores eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

The Predators were led by Brenden Trottier, who racked up one goal and two assists. Trottier scored on the power play 17:52 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Sarnia. Lambton Shores had taken the advantage when the Legionnaires' Ryan Trottier got sent off for abuse of officials. Marcel Berube picked up the assist. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Ethan Sarfati, who also registered one goal and one assist. Franco Sproviero also scored for Lambton Shores. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Colin Burns and Ryan Fraser, who each chipped in one.

Aidan Hughes made 39 saves for Sarnia on 42 shots. The Legionnaires registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Caruana rejected 44 shots on goal for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
