The Strathroy Rockets and the LaSalle Vipers skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Strathroy and LaSalle could not settle their match and fought to a 2-2 tie.

The Rockets stifled the Vipers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Strathroy's offense rang up 46 shots on LaSalle's net.

The Rockets were helped by Wesley Kelly, who had one goal. Kelly scored 6:52 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Strathroy. Matt McGhee picked up the assist. Max Ewart also scored for Strathroy. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Steve Griggs and Noah Tooke, who each chipped in one.

The Vipers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. LaSalle kept Strathroy's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mat Ouellet made 52 saves on 54 shots.

The Vipers were helped by Manny Silverio, who tallied one goal. Silverio scored 8:37 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brett Banwell assisted on the tally. LaSalle also got a goal from Liam MacDougall as well. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Paolo Battisti, Connor Matton, and Blake Jones, who contributed one each.

The Rockets incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Battisti recorded 44 saves for LaSalle. The Vipers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
