Guelph downs Kitchener in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Jeremy Kuehn gave the Guelph Hurricanes a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Kitchener Dutchmen when he scored 13:15 into the extra period.

Ryan Migliaccio was all over the ice for Guelph, as he finished with two goals in the win. Migliaccio found the back of the net on the power play 5:13 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Guelph and again while 2:00 into the fourth to make the score 3-3.

The Hurricanes' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 10 Kitchener power plays. Guelph could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 42 minutes in penalties during the game.

Guelph also got a goal from Brody Milne as well. More assists for Guelph came via Stefano Pezzetta, Chris Poletek, Sean Power, Cameron Stokes, Quinn Hanna, and Ryan Waterhouse, who contributed one each.

Kitchener did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Dutchmen average 4.9 goals per game. The Hurricanes were unable to stop Kitchener from sending pucks towards the net, and the Dutchmen eventually piled up 49 shots on goal. Kitchener excelled on the penalty kill, only allowing Guelph to get one power play goal on 14 chances. The Dutchmen could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 50 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Hurricanes' Jason DaSilva stopped 47 shots out of the 49 that he faced. For Guelph, Kevin Fitzpatrick was ejected from the game. Cossimo Lazzarino made 26 saves for Kitchener on 29 shots.
