Liam MacDougall had two goals and two assists to lead the LaSalle Vipers to a 9-2 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns. MacDougall scored on the power play at 11:09 into the first period to make the score 3-0 LaSalle and again while on the power play 8:27 into the second to make the score 7-0 LaSalle.St. Marys' power play was ineffective against LaSalle's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 13:24 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts. The Vipers forced the Lincolns' goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 53 shots and forcing 44 saves. Paul Town made 11 stops and Ryan Langford made 33. LaSalle excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Vipers' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, LaSalle averages 4.1 goals per contest. LaSalle additionally got points from Matthew Doucette, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Nikko Sablone, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Nathan Savage, who also had two goals and one assist, Manny Silverio, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Blake Jones, who also tallied one goal and two assists. LaSalle also got a goal from Maddux Rychel as well. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Eric Kirby, who had two, Connor Matton, who had four, and Paolo Battisti, James Brooks, Tyler Russell, and Dalton Langlois, who contributed one each. St. Marys forced the Vipers goalie Battisti to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Penalties took their toll on the Lincolns, as their penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. Paolo Battisti made 32 saves for LaSalle on 34 shots. The Vipers ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. For LaSalle, Langlois was ejected from the game. St. Marys ended with 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors. The Lincolns ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mike Tuffin was ejected from the game.
