Leamington outlasts Lambton Shores, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Leamington Flyers escaped with a 4-3 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Luke Sanko's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Leamington's offense rang up 41 shots on Lambton Shores' net. The Flyers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Leamington also got points from Mitchell Amante, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Derek Elliott, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Leamington also got a goal from Joe Urbanic as well. More assists for Leamington came via J.P. Grineau, Nicolas Mainella, Cale Allen, Matthew Opblinger, and Zach Guilbeault, who each chipped in one.

The Predators were led by Ryan Fraser, who had one goal and two assists. Fraser scored on the power play 10:33 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Lambton Shores had gotten the advantage when Leamington's Jacob McGhee was sent off for interference. Colin Burns picked up the assist. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Burns, who also registered one goal and one assist. Sean Ross also scored for Lambton Shores. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Franco Sproviero, who had one and Ethan Sarfati, who had two.

Tyler Wall made 27 saves for the Flyers on 30 shots. Leamington registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Anthony Hurtubise rejected 37 shots on goal for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
