London falls to Lambton Shores in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Lambton Shores Predators pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the London Nationals on a clutch goal by Ethan Sarfati.

Sarfati had a great game for Lambton Shores, netting two goals. Sarfati scored at 16:46 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores and again while 34 seconds into the fourth to make the score 3-2 Lambton Shores.

The Predators excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. London was unable to stop Lambton Shores from sending pucks towards the net, and the Predators eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Lambton Shores also got a goal from Franco Sproviero as well. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Brenden Trottier, who had two and Colin Burns and Andrew Kim, who contributed one each.

The Nationals stifled Lambton Shores' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. London forced the Predators goalie Anthony Hurtubise to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots.

The Nationals were helped by Matt Bean, who registered one goal. Bean scored 13:59 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Matt Doty picked up the assist. Austin Kemp also scored for London. More assists for London came via Tanner Ferreira, who had one.

Hurtubise recorded 43 saves for Lambton Shores. The Predators totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play. Lambton Shores ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Marcel Berube was ejected from the game. Connor Hughes made 32 saves for London on 35 shots. The Nationals incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For London, Alex Cimino was ejected from the game.
