St. Catharines hangs on, beats Welland 2-1

Romaeo DIntino gave the St. Catharines Falcons the lead in the first period, and the Welland Jr. Canadians was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-1.

St. Catharines took over the lead for good with a goal by DIntino at 6:49 in the first period. Evan Denley picked up the assist.

The Falcons were led by James Guest, who registered one goal. Guest scored 13:19 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Catharines.

St. Catharines' offense rang up 38 shots on Welland's net.

Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Jonathan Giordano, who had one.
