St. Marys falls to LaSalle in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The LaSalle Vipers' Eric Kirby scored 1:26 into overtime to beat the St. Marys Lincolns, 4-3 (OT).

LaSalle was sparked by Kirby, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

In a losing effort, St. Marys was led by Brent House, who racked up two goals. House scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 4:28 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Lincolns had gotten the advantage when the Vipers' Kyle Auger was sent off for tripping. Graham Brulotte picked up the assist. House's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 12 seconds left in the third period. Brulotte provided the assist.

LaSalle forced St. Marys goalie Ryan Langford to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

LaSalle also got points from Nathan Savage, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for LaSalle included Manny Silverio and Connor Rosaasen, who scored one goal each. More assists for LaSalle came via Liam McDougall and Blake Jones, who each chipped in one.

The Lincolns' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five LaSalle power plays. St. Marys' offense rang up 34 shots on the Vipers' net.

Dan Cloutier also scored for St. Marys. In addition, St. Marys received assists from Jared Lindsay, Nick Whitworth, Josh Zlatinszky, and Nathan Smith, who contributed one each.

LaSalle's Eli Billing stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Vipers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Langford recorded 28 saves for the Lincolns. St. Marys incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
