M1 Drexel University survives M1 Villanova University comeback, wins 4-3

The M1 Villanova University Wildcats tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the M1 Drexel University Dragons held on for a 4-3 victory.

A goal by Ryan Williams put M1 Drexel University up 4-0 in the first period, but M1 Villanova University pulled to within one on Sean Mckernan's tally 1:09 into the third period.

The Dragons got the win behind a great game by Matthew Williams, who had one goal and two assists. Williams scored 5:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Drexel University. Christopher Hagen picked up the assist.

M1 Drexel University additionally got points from Hagen, who also tallied one goal and one assist. M1 Drexel University also got a goal from Ryan Beneduce as well. In addition, M1 Drexel University received assists from Mike Churchvara, John Quigley, and Christopher Carroll, who each chipped in one.

M1 Villanova University also got points from Douglas Geertz, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Chris Sabanos also scored for M1 Villanova University. More assists for M1 Villanova University came via John J Gyurina, John Skaggs, and Myles Mitchell, who contributed one each.

Dillon Gravenstine made 14 saves before being replaced by Zachary Kantner, who took the win and made two saves. M1 Drexel University incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Wildcats' starting goalie, Michael Harper, made 18 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Nicholas Desimone, who stopped eight shots. M1 Villanova University incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
