The M1 Iowa State University Cyclones had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over M1 Illinois State University.

Preston Blanek was all over the ice for M1 Iowa State University, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Blanek scored 9:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Iowa State University. Jonathan Severson picked up the assist.
