M1 Mercyhurst University downs M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania, 5-2

Jonah Jobin tallied one point to lead the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers to a 5-2 victory over the M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks.

In a losing effort, M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania was paced by Reid Duguid, who finished with two goals. Duguid scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:42 into the third period to make the score 3-1 M1 Mercyhurst University. The Crimson Hawks had gotten the advantage when M1 Mercyhurst University's Colin Fenelon was sent off for hooking. Robert Stock picked up the assist. Duguid's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 M1 Mercyhurst University with 4:46 left in the third period. Tanner Gilliland assisted on the tally.

The Lakers put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.9 they average per game.

M1 Mercyhurst University also got points from Kevin Valasek, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Pavel Nayda also scored for M1 Mercyhurst University. More assists for M1 Mercyhurst University came via Derek Blanchard, Matthew Bilski, Emilio Mayagoitia Puente, and Greg Marsch, who contributed one each and Tim Weisgerber and Jesse Valasek, who each chipped in two.

By firing 19 shots on goal, M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania exceeded the 0.1 shots it averages per game this year.
