Mayagoitia Puente leads M1 Mercyhurst University over M1 Slippery Rock University, 5-2

Emilio Mayagoitia Puente had two goals and one assist to lead the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers to a 5-2 victory over the M1 Slippery Rock University Pride.

Mayagoitia Puente found the back of the net 15 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Mercyhurst University and again while 12:03 into the second to make the score 3-0 M1 Mercyhurst University.

The 40 shots that M1 Mercyhurst University put on net surpassed the Lakers' average of 2.2 shots per game this season. M1 Mercyhurst University was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 18 penalty minutes.

M1 Mercyhurst University additionally got points from Joseph Zinner, who also registered one goal and two assists and Pavel Nayda, who also finished with one goal and one assist. M1 Mercyhurst University also got a goal from Kevin Valasek as well.
