M1 Mercyhurst University beats M1 Canisius College 9-1 as Marsch gets hat trick

Greg Marsch lifted the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers to a 9-1 victory with a hat trick against the M1 Canisius College Golden Griffins.

Marsch's first goal came 7:57 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:28 into the first and at 18:06 into the third.

M1 Mercyhurst University led 6-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

The Lakers' penalty kill excelled, as M1 Mercyhurst University gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.
