A hat trick by Evan Foley was the highlight in Panthers' 7-1 win against the Picton Pirates. Foley notched his first tally 2:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:34 into the second and at 6:31 into the third.The Port Hope Panthers led by only one goal at the end of the first period, but put the game away by scoring three goals in the second. Port Hope kept Picton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brock Tufts made 36 saves on 43 shots. Port Hope also got points from Dan Lagrois, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Hunter Baker, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Dalton Lawrence, who also registered one goal and one assist. Port Hope also got a goal from Jon Campbell as well. In addition, Port Hope received assists from Cameron Lowery, Cameron McGill, and Evan Wasylyk, who each chipped in one. The Pirates struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 34 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. Devin McCann also scored for Picton. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were James Pero, who had one. The Panthers' Sheldon Calbury stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Port Hope incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Picton registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
