Boulard's hat trick boosts Napanee over Campbellford, 8-0

The Campbellford Rebels could not stop the Napanee Raiders' Austin Boulard, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-0 win.

Boulard's first goal came 3:09 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:21 into the first and at 8:29 into the third.

Campbellford's nine penalties came back to haunt it, as the Rebels let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

Napanee forced Campbellford's netminders to work without much rest, ripping 42 shots and forcing 34 saves. Tyler Freemen made 30 stops and Cole Mahoney made four. The Raiders stifled the Rebels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Napanee outdid its season average for goals scored. The Raiders average 4.7 goals per game. Napanee could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Napanee additionally got points from Matt Tedford, who also registered one goal and one assist and Cullen Hinds, who also finished with four goals and one assist. In addition, Napanee received assists from Ryley Richardson, Matthew Muller, Michael Parr, Riley Steeves, and Riley West, who contributed one each and Zack Revell, Aidan McFarland, and Jordan Cannons, who each chipped in two.

Campbellford could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Rebels put an average of 2.2 pucks into the net per game. Campbellford could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Tomo Mikuljan made 20 saves for the Raiders on 20 shots. The Rebels registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
