McFarland's goals lift Napanee to 4-1 victory over Picton

Aidan McFarland had two goals to lead the Napanee Raiders to a 4-1 victory over the Picton Pirates.

McFarland's tallies came at 15:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Napanee and 18:25 into the third to make the score 3-1 Napanee.

Napanee was led by goalie Cameron Parr, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Parr managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.23 prior to the game.

The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Picton power plays. Napanee's offense rang up 39 shots on Picton's net.

Napanee also got points from Jordan Cannons, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Austin Boulard, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Napanee came via Zack Revell, who had two and Riley Steeves, Cullen Hinds, and Will Peirson, who contributed one each.

The Pirates excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Picton was led by Mitchell Merry, who scored the team's only goal. Merry scored 10:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1.

The Raiders incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brock Tufts rejected 35 shots on goal for the Pirates. Picton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
