M1 Penn State University Berks' Abarca deadly on offense in 5-2 win against M1 Lehigh University

The M1 Penn State University Berks Nittany Lions relied on the scoring touch of Jesse Abarca, who netted two goals, to beat the M1 Lehigh University Mountain Hawks, 5-2.

Abarca found the back of the net 1:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Penn State University Berks and again while 5:00 into the second to make the score 3-1 M1 Penn State University Berks.

M1 Penn State University Berks forced M1 Lehigh University goalie Patrick Walgren to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

M1 Penn State University Berks also got a goal from Alec Dellavecchia as well. In addition, M1 Penn State University Berks received assists from John Maniscalco and Zachary Higgins, who each chipped in one.

The Mountain Hawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Nittany Lions to score on any of their four power plays. M1 Lehigh University's offense rang up 31 shots on M1 Penn State University Berks' net.

The Mountain Hawks were helped by Christopher Ramondelli, who grabbed one goal. Ramondelli scored on the power play 18:00 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Penn State University Berks. M1 Lehigh University had gained a power play chance when Eric Kantner was whistled for holding. Kevin McGee assisted on the tally. Adam Goldstein also scored for M1 Lehigh University. More assists for M1 Lehigh University came via Simon Rybansky, Jonathan Homan, and stephen Friedman, who contributed one each.

Justin Golia rejected 29 shots on goal for the Nittany Lions. M1 Penn State University Berks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Walgren recorded 48 saves for the Mountain Hawks. M1 Lehigh University incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
