St. Andrews College survives Ulysses Prep comeback, wins 4-3LaBrier Family Arena Fri, Mar 11, 2016 Ulysses Prep tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but the St. Andrews College Saints held on for a 4-3 victory. St. Andrews College took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Ulysses Prep storm back on a Default Player goal 4:44 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Saints put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ulysses Prep to score on any of its three power plays. St. Andrews College kept Ulysses Prep's goalie busy throughout the game, and Default Goalie made 29 saves on 33 shots. The Saints were helped by Kody Clark, who had one goal. Clark scored three seconds into the third period to make the score 4-2 St. Andrews College. Others who scored for St. Andrews College included Mitchell Martan, Morgan Barron, and Alex Newhook, who each put in one. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Lucas Thorne, who had one and Alex MacDonald, who had two. Ulysses Prep did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Kristian Hufsky recorded 15 saves for St. Andrews College. The Saints incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
