Huge game by Barron boosts St. Andrews College over Stanstead College, 6-3

Behind a great game by Morgan Barron, who had one goal and three assists, the St. Andrews College Saints defeated Stanstead College, 6-3.

Barron beat M Chan with a shot 34 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Andrews College. Otto Saarimaa provided the assist. Barron dished an assist on Alex MacDonald's goal that made the score 1-0 St. Andrews College at 13:23 into the first period. He then added assists on Saarimaa's goal at 19:54 into the second and on Ryan OConnell's goal at 2:34 into the third.

St. Andrews College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Saints' offense rang up 52 shots on Stanstead College's net. St. Andrews College got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Saarimaa, who also finished with one goal and one assist and MacDonald, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Andrews College also had goals scored by Connor Ali and Regan Kimens, who each put in one. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Mitchell Martan, who had two and Noah Lugli and Kody Clark, who contributed one each.

Stanstead College was helped by B Brule, who had one goal. Brule scored 18:59 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stanstead College. R Horvath picked up the assist. Others who scored for Stanstead College included C Senken and T Psenicka, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Stanstead College were A Belisle, who had one and F Dusek, who had two.

Cole Chapman recorded 26 saves for the Saints. St. Andrews College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Stanstead College's Chan stopped 46 shots out of the 52 that he faced. Stanstead College incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
