Culver Military Academy beats St. Andrews College 3-2 after comeback scare

The St. Andrews College Saints tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Culver Military Academy would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Culver Military Academy made the score 3-1 on a goal by Jamie Collins at 18:17 in the second period, and St. Andrews College got as close as 3-2 when Lucas Thorne scored 5:11 into the third period.

Culver Military Academy was led by Collins, who registered one goal.

Culver Military Academy stifled the Saints' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Culver Military Academy forced St. Andrews College goalie Kristian Hufsky to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Culver Military Academy could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.
