M1 Drexel University hangs on, beats M1 Syracuse University 4-2

The M1 Drexel University Dragons took the lead against the M1 Syracuse University Orange in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-2 victory.

John Quigley provided M1 Drexel University with the game-winning tally when he scored 2:35 into the first period. The Dragons earned a power play opportunity when Connor Rotenberg was put in the box for interference. Matthew Williams provided the assist.

M1 Syracuse University's power play was ineffective against M1 Drexel University's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Dragons were led by Maxwell Stetson, who grabbed one goal. Stetson scored 16:58 into the first period to make the score 3-1 M1 Drexel University. Tyler Shagen assisted on the tally.

M1 Drexel University also had goals scored by Ryan Beneduce and Dylan Hart, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Drexel University received assists from Ryan Williams, who had two and Carson Newton and Zach Paro, who each chipped in one.

The Orange forced M1 Drexel University goalie Dillon Gravenstine to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

M1 Syracuse University was helped by John Ross LaPointe, who tallied one goal. LaPointe scored 10:00 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Drexel University. William Franzese provided the assist. M1 Syracuse University also got a goal from Thomas DiPasquale as well. More assists for M1 Syracuse University came via Robert Amos and Ben Silver, who contributed one each.

Gravenstine recorded 29 saves for the Dragons. M1 Drexel University totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Jaime Ketchabaw made 19 saves for the Orange on 23 shots. M1 Syracuse University incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
