The M1 Ohio University Bobcats gutted out a close 6-4 win against the M1 Liberty University Flames.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Liam Geither secured the win for M1 Ohio University with a goal in the third period.

The Bobcats' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. M1 Ohio University gives up 1.9 goal per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. With 45 shots on target during the contest, the Bobcats exceeded the 5.6 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Ohio University was led by Joey Breslin, who tallied two goals. Breslin scored the first of his two goals at 5:41 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Ohio University. Patrick Spellacy assisted on the tally. Breslin's next tally made the score 6-4 M1 Ohio University with 33 seconds left in the third period. The Flames were led by Danny Logan, who registered two goals. Logan scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 5:58 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Ohio University. M1 Liberty University had gained a power play chance when Michael Harris was whistled for slashing. Zane Schartz provided the assist. Logan's next tally on the power play made the score 5-4 M1 Ohio University with 1:07 left in the third period. Owen Harris picked up the assist. M1 Liberty University additionally got points from Zachary Hayes, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Zechariah Roberts also scored for M1 Liberty University. In addition, M1 Liberty University received assists from Robert Ward, who had two and Jackson Giammona and Tyson Street, who each chipped in one.

Aaron Alkema rejected 10 shots on goal for the Bobcats. M1 Ohio University incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matthew Pinel made 39 saves for the Flames on 44 shots. M1 Liberty University totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
