The Dundas Real McCoys had trouble finding ways to stop the Brantford Blast, which beat Real McCoys, 5-2.

Brantford was paced on offense by Chris Leveille and Derek Medeiros, who combined for four points. Leveille tallied two goals and one assist and Medeiros also added one goal.

The Blast kept Dundas' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mike Mole made 37 saves on 42 shots.

Brantford additionally got points from Chris Rebernik, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brantford also got a goal from Dustin Alcock as well. Other players who recorded assists for Brantford were Mike Burgoyne and Derek Foam, who each chipped in one and Cameron Sault and Jamie Williams, who contributed two each.

The Real McCoys' offense rang up 34 shots on Brantford's net.

Dundas was led by Cam Watson, who grabbed two goals. Watson scored the first of his two goals at 10:49 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Watson's next tally made the score 4-2 Brantford with 5:59 left in the second period. A slashing penalty on Dave Russell had put the Real McCoys on the power play. Simon Mangos provided the assist. More assists for Dundas came via Mike Amodeo, who had one.

The Blast's Brett Leggat stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Brantford incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Dundas incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Real McCoys ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Curtis Campbell was ejected from the game.
